I moved to Durango in 1980 and quickly realized I had found "home." Having grown up in an Air Force family, I had seen a number of the states and a few pieces of the rest of the world also. I have yet to find a place that rivals Durango as an all around wonderful place to live.
The Durango area offers a great community and a variety of interests with which to get involved and enjoy. I served for many years on the Volunteers of America Board. Here in Durango, they operate the Southwest Safehouse (for battered women and children), the Southwest Colorado Homeless Shelter and a thrift shop to help support the shelters.
I was a member of the Board which instituted and gathered support for LEAD, La Plata County's formal Economic Development group. I have also performed in the Snowdown Follies, the coup de gras of our winter festival, Snowdown, and a "Seat of the Pants" production.
Then there is Durango's most perfect four season climate I have ever found with beautiful, diverse countryside in every direction you travel. Snow skiing and snowboarding, water skiing, hiking, mountain and road biking, horseback riding, motorcycle riding, rafting & kayaking, rock climbing and more. My current favorites are rafting and motorcycle riding.
Having been in the Durango area, La Plata County, real estate sales industry since 1981, I look forward to assisting you. My focus is fine homes and homesites, equestrian estates, commercial and investment. Put my problem solving talents to work for you!
